The items I am requesting will help my students to focus and move when sitting is expected of them during learning time. Studies indicate students focus and concentrate more when they are allowed to move. Instead of the traditional chairs, these items will give the students a choice to choose a seat so they will be able to have some type of movement and to focus on what is being taught.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' competency in pre-academic areas. I have chosen flexible seating for this project. These items will be used so the students can have a choice where to sit. Flexible seating increases oxygen flow to the brain and allows for student engagement. Also, flexible seating stimulates students' sense of touch which helps students to focus and process information. Students at this age are eager to learn and explore and these seats will help them to achieve these goals.
I know these items will my students to learn more and I am eager to see how these items will affect my students' learning in a positive way! Thank you!
