My students are the most amazing group of students. We belong to a STEM program in CA, and our daily work involves lots of hands on activities to solve "real world" problems. From writing to "Mr. Cuttatree" in order to save the rainforest in 5th grade, to finding the "Safest Place in America" in 6th, or debating hard topics in during our "Genetics Controversies" debate in 7th. My 8th graders inspire others, becoming inventors and makers using all sorts of recycled materials to put their ideas into practice. They love making things and presenting not only to each other, but to our community during our exhibition nights. We support each other in our successes and failures. We strive for excellence and are determined to "take over the world!"
