Having a classroom set of books allows students to work at their own pace while still being able to read the book as a class. Many of my students dont read for fun so bringing this popular book into the classroom is my way of changing how the see reading. The students are looking forward to having a set of books instead of sharing my one copy as we read. We have activities planned out ending with a compare and contrast between the book and the movie. To have kids so excited to read opens doors to begin exploring other novels.
