At my school my caseload often fluctuates, due to my very mobile population, often ranging from 28 students to 35 or more within a school year. We have a large special education population with varying needs from mild, moderate to severe. 32% of my current caseload identify as English Language Learners, making my position a challenging one. I have VERY hard working students with special needs. I hold them all to a such high expectations and I am constantly impressed with their ability to go above and beyond in my classroom. Without hesitation, I know they work hard but sometimes I struggle with the idea that I could be doing more. This is where you come in! Help me give more to students who already have it so hard! I know they can do more but to be honest they need more resources, or in this case, technology to give them the leg-up they deserve. Fair is not always equal. Sometimes we learn differently.
