The nearly 700 students I work with in grades kindergarten through fifth grade are each extremely special. They come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and each child receives free lunch due to low income. The students take home food sacks from the Food Bank over the weekend to ensure they are not hungry on the days without school lunch. The tremendous diversity of ethnicity, culture, and language within my school are greatly valued and appreciated. Students love coming to school, where they are safe and loved. They learn in positive environments filled with mutual respect and reciprocal learning.

About my class
