Becoming a National Board Certified Teacher will help me grow professionally by strengthening my teaching skills. I'd like to become certified because I believe in the National Board's vision: great teaching should be the norm. Students will benefit from this because they will continue to be held to high standards and pushed to advocate for their own learning. I continually teach students to reflect on their work and grow as learners and it's important for me to do the same in this profession. The National Board certification process encourages reflection on my teaching practices as a means to evolve as an educator.
