Technology is a key component in the ever changing world and being able to use it appropriately is the key to being successful. My class of 6th graders is no exception to this. They are a group of 32 students on a TK-6 campus of over 950 that is as diverse as the technology that we use. Our classroom is equipped with 12 iPads for 33 students. Although we have a computer lab, we are only provided access to the school computer lab once a week for 40 minutes. With this limited amount of time in the computer lab keyboarding skills are diminishing and students are more familiar with the hunt and peck concept rather than properly being able to type.
