My students will benefit from the materials ordered in many ways including: being able to learn using a hands-on approach/sensory exploration. The switch toys/electronic toys and other sensory materials (bubble blower) will help to assist and engaging students with stimulating and motivating experiences. These materials will help to teach students many skills including: cause and effect, communication, and appropriate play skills. The switch toys are not only stimulating but are also used as incentives to help motivate students to make a preferred choice when the item is paired with picture symbols and AT communication devices. Currently, I only have one working switch toy which does not appear to motivate student leaning since we have had it for so long. The resources ordered (color/black and white ink, laminator, lamination, and Velcro) would be very helpful to assist in the implementation of our new curriculum (Unique Learning System, LLC).
