My students live in a middle class suburb in California. Our school is fairly diverse, and we try very hard to give our students a well-rounded education. Our PTO funds many artistic programs that we no longer receive funding for. They give our students and staff as much as they can. I teach a 4th grade class, so my students are between 8 and 10 years old. They are walking the line between being children and taking on more responsibilities. My kids are quite technically savvy and teach me new things every day! I've discovered many new online sites that address a number of standards across the curricula in fun and interesting ways. I really want to get my kids on the computers more.
