Our 32 Kindergarten students will use KEVA Planks to foster spatial awareness. Keva Planks are a teaching tool that can be used as a manipulative to teach various subjects including math and science. The students will also use their design and engineering skills to create towers, houses, spiral staircases, bridges, castles, and more! KEVA Planks encourage simple design, construction, and creativity in students. They can also be used as a "dis-stressor" in the classroom and a means to stimulate the brain. This project will encourage young students to step into the shoes of an engineer and learn important design elements. It will also give them an opportunity to build, build, build!
