Our school is located in the heart of downtown Birmingham and consists of over 700 students with 99% minority enrollment. Despite being challenged with 59% of the students being economically disadvantaged, 76% of the students participate in advanced placement courses. My class consists of 140 energetic students in 10th to 11th grade in Pre-AP Algebra II with Trigonometry that range on the extremes of socioeconomic status. Our class offers a wide range of upbringings and resources available to provide a diverse spectrum of collaboration and learning.
