My goal is to build a classroom that is rich in conversation, collaboration, and community. From a morning message that greets my students as they walk in the door, to shared readings, poems, songs, and math talks, an easel will allow all of my students to engage equally with new academic content. This easel is mobile and will allow me to hang chart paper and pocket charts, as well as write messages. It will be an opportunity for all students to visual see what all information displayed. Over time, they will be able to pass the pen to one another and take charge of their own independent learning.
