One of the greatest indicators of a strong reader is access to high quality books. This quality of library is something my students, unfortunately, do not have. The books that I am requesting will provide students with choices in what they read in order to enhance their engagement and stamina. In my reading class, I encourage students to select books that interest them and are at their levels. During independent reading, I work to support each of my students in their books. In order to do this, students have to have access to good books that include a variety of topics at all different levels. Good books are the pulse of getting struggling and reluctant readers to reading more. When implementing readers' workshop, my students need a wide variety of books in my classroom.
