We have all had those times when we've been stuck in an all day meeting or workshop sitting in one chair for the entire time. I know I have found myself very uncomfortable in such a situation. How about you? Did your legs fall asleep or your back begin to hurt? Maybe you wanted to stretch out. If adults are uncomfortable in just one day, imagine how our students feel after 180. Research shows that students learn the best in a positive environment that supports their needs. It is my goal this school year to create this type of environment for my students using flexible seating options. Flexible seating will allow my students to choose their workspaces based on their specific learning needs. No more hard, stationary chairs. This will allow them to focus on their learning rather than how uncomfortable they are. Please help me to make this change for them. These children deserve it!
