My students come to school four days a week and learn from home on Fridays. Using the resource that integrates life skills with academics I will teach the lessons during in-school days and have students practice the skills at home on Fridays. Making their home assignments more functional will help them be more successful and give them skills they can use for the rest of their lives. It has been difficult for them to follow through with academic lessons at home without relying on a lot of parent support. I want them to be able to successfully complete tasks/lessons with minimal or no needed parent support.
