A tremendous benefit of team teaching is the amount of small group and individual instruction we are able to provide. It is difficult for struggling readers to stay engaged and it's often difficult to find high interest books at their level. Chromebooks would offer the opportunity to read leveled literature from many different genres through websites like Raz-Kids, Tumblebooks, and Reading Eggs. Our students would be able to independently read and listen to books at their level. Often we have students who have difficulty remaining focused and technology is always very motivating to them. As teachers, it's always our goal to encourage life long readers and we believe that Chromebooks will help develop our students' love of reading!
