Many of my students have substantial learning disabilities and I also have a student with severe macular degeneration who is often not able to fully participate. These students are eager to learn, but I struggle with finding ways engage all students. Our school has many students that excel, and it is sometimes our lower achieving students that get left behind. I'm am constantly trying to find ways to include these students and give them a chance to feel success in science. They are willing to put the work in, but need more resources than most. I have wonderful classroom aids who help modify assignments and work one on one with students, but in this case we are unable to meet some of our students' needs simply because we don't have the right equipment.
