My school is located in Southern California in a high need community. Most of our students come from an impoverished community. Despite these obstacles, our school has managed to become a California Distinguished School and we have received numerous Title 1 Academic Achievement Awards. Our school goals are for our students to become fluent readers and writers as well as to attend college. I am a Transitional Kindergarten teacher and I truly enjoy teaching my students how to read and write and they love learning and exploring.

About my class
