Nothing is more gratifying than seeing the little miracles that happen when we work with children with special needs. Every little step towards progress is a miracle and is worth celebrating. My students are 3-5 year old who have been diagnosed with Autism and are receiving early intervention services through the district and are attending my preschool special day, intensive instruction class. My students are visual and kinesthetic learners and need hands on activities to learn basic skills. My classroom is a brand new class that has been started in order to meet the needs of the growing number of kids who are diagnosed with the Autism spectrum. My school is an Early Learning Center that serves preschool aged children with different abilities. Being a new classroom starting on a limited budget my classroom is need of basic materials that are essential to my students learning.
