My students are at varying academic levels so they are working independently a lot of the time during reading, writing, and math workshops. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Students will use the scoop chairs, wobble cushions, stools, floor seats, balance ball, and soft seats to find comfortable working areas around the classroom to engage in their independent work. These items will allow my students to work independently while being comfortable and relaxed in a safe learning environment as well as stay organized with new seating arrangements. Since flexible seating allows students to be on the move throughout the day. The Connect & Store book bins and Help-Yourself Book Bins will be used to store their reading, writing, and math materials in an organized way that ensures a learning time that flows. Workshop settings require student supplies be readily available and that is exactly what the adjustable book case and supply caddies will do for the students.
