Transitional Kindergarten students learn a lot about artists and art techniques. All students were given a personalized "TK TREASURE" bucket and now need a place to store their writing and art tools. Painting near a friend and performing a gallery walk to get inspiration is a fun way for children to learn in Transitional Kindergarten. Learning about artists every day while watching PBS TK Reading Explorers has been the highlight of this year for students. They have painted beautiful pieces inspired by Georgia O'Keefe, Yayoi Kusama, and most recently Claude Monet.
