I teach a self-contained K-3 autism classroom. Most of my students are non-verbal and the severity of their disabilities vary. Despite their varying disabilities, my students are quite busy throughout the day. Consistent sensory breaks allow my students to feel organized and calm and prepares them for learning. While continuing to strive for an optimal learning environment, providing these supports would greatly enhance what is already in place. The school has a total of 353 students currently enrolled. There a two autism classrooms within the school, ranging from grades K-6. These materials will be used for all students within these classrooms.
