I teach at an amazing school. Due to the high poverty population we serve, many students cannot afford the supplies necessary for their school work and teachers supplement out of their own pockets. The heart of the faculty and staff is obvious and the love each and every one has for the students is incredible. My students are from many different backgrounds and cultures. Each student brings a different set of life experiences to the classroom. However, there are some things that most have in common. They are enthusiastic fourth graders who are ready to learn. They work hard every day and continue to improve in reading, math and science. Most also live in very high poverty situations and are unable to access computers at home or supply necessary items in the classroom. However, this does not squash their enthusiasm for learning everyday!
