Most 6th grade students need encouragement to read, and become engulfed in books. Reading a class book aloud promotes fluency and confidence. The Westing Game is the type of book that will engage these students, and help them develop critical thinking skills they will use continually throughout life. Following a format that students will find fun and thought provoking they will learn to solve problems, read for content, and travel to the wonderful world of imagination, something that is lacking in a lot of children's lives.

About my class
