Prior to COVID-19, I was able to provide students with intimate and personalized instruction that focused on their learning strengths and needs. In the 16 years that I've been working with economically and educationally disadvantaged students, I've never asked for much because I've creatively been able to use the few materials my students have been given over the years to enhance their education. Remote learning has brought extensive challenges for reaching my SPED and ELL students and their families. I have been working all hours of the day trying to quickly teach multiple family members how to access digital materials. I'm currently working from home on a school Chromebook which doesn't even allow me to use basic features of ZOOM or other virtual learning resources to help motivate my students during this time. This donation of an Asus laptop and stylus will help countless students and their families break educational barriers for years to come!
