Our classroom is full of busy brains! We are a third grade class full of a diverse group of learners. We are especially inspired by the work of Dr. Seuss- he teaches us so many valuable lessons that we can use daily! We enjoy working together, especially with innovative ideas. We are at a neighborhood school; most students live within 1 mile of the school. Some students come from difficult backgrounds and do not have access to technology at home; their only guaranteed direct access to technology is during our 60 minutes of computer instruction each week. We have been working very hard in class to build our understanding of concepts new to third graders like division, finding the main idea and supporting details of text, and writing persuasive speeches. Our K-5 school is truly a family of students, teachers, and staff. We begin each day with a handshake, high five, or hug and end it in the same way. We love coming into our school each day and cannot wait to see each other tomorrow.
