My students are excited about anything involving hands-on activities and whiteboards, thus I am always running out of math manipulatives and dry erase markers. Being young students with special needs, they are still working on basic skills, such as word families, and therefore need materials to help them learn word families. My school is a title 1 public school where most kids are from a low socioeconomic area and some can't afford pencils. They are all striving to learn for life though and not let obstacles stop them.
