Greetings from the Rainbow Elementary school library! Thank you for the privilege of partnering with you to change student's lives. Our library is more than a place to check out a book. It has the potential to be window or portal to the world for the 850+ K to 5 students whom attend here. Many of which experience the disadvantages that often accompany poverty. Studies prove that the best way to overcome these and other disadvantages is to be connected to resources to fill these deficits. Our library can be a place where our students can connect with knowledge, experiences and opportunities for learning that are not present in their everyday lives. My students are excited and willing to learn and I think that our library should be filled with exciting, high quality books and resources.
