My school is extremely diverse. We have a portion of students who come from extremely affluent families, a portion that come from very economically challenged families, and everything in between. It creates a problem when I want to do something in the classroom beyond paper and pencil. Some of my students have access to computers and graphing calculators and some don't. With the large class sizes, I sometimes don't have enough materials to provide for the students who need them. I am hoping to gain access to technology and materials that will help me reach out to more students. Making AP Calculus accessible to all is my goal.
