They are a diverse group of young people who face great obstacles each and every day. Each of my students can learn and achieve academic success with great instruction using a variety of materials to offer a multi sensory educational approach. Multisensory education is intended for students who have a difficult time with learning to read, spell, and write. Using traditional methods, like paper and pencil tasks, just are not enough. When students are taught these foundation skills using this approach they have a greater chance of reaching their full potential and being educated with their typical peers. Utilizing something as simple as play dough can make all the difference in the lives of these young students. They learn reading, writing, spelling, math, language arts, phonics and a lot more while having fun!
