The sensory tools will be used to provide my students with a break when they become overwhelmed. The inflatable rocker can be used in a quiet space for them to calm down and de-escalate. The moluk bilibo chairs will be used both during large and small group carpet to allow for them to wiggle without distracting their peers. These chairs are also great for reading in the library. The tactile step-n-stones will allow the students for a different type of sensory input that they will be able to feel through both their hands and feet. These sensory tools will allow for a more balanced learning experience. This is my 9th year teaching and this school year I have a large population of students that require sensory breaks and input.
