My students are an incredible group of diverse nine and ten-year olds who are constantly working on improving their skills and expanding their schema about the world around them. Each day we engage in rich literacy work, including shared reading, whole class read alouds using high quality mentor texts, small group guided reading, partner and independent reading. We also enjoy thinking critically in Math, and developing a greater sense of the world as we discuss societal issues such as fair trade chocolate and gender inclusion.

About my class
