Many of my students with IEPs and 504s often ask me to stand during lessons or tap their feet during class to burn off their energy. Having stand up desks in the classroom would allow students to use the fidget bar on the desk to burn energy and be more comfortable while they learn. Instead of having to lean over their desks when they are standing to complete assignments, they will now have a new desk to stand at straight up instead of being hunched over the regular desks. My students with ADHD have asked me if I can get stand up desks like our resource room and I know that they will greatly appreciate these desks!
