Most of my students are visual learners. Having a sensory-friendly classroom will help organize their learning from the moment they walk through the door. The kidney table will help me focus their individualized instruction and allow therapists to access the specific students they come to serve. The reading-library area will help my readers from having multiple books all over the floor in the middle of the classroom to having a specific corner in the classroom. The reading area will include the atlas and globe for my geography lovers. The wobble chairs will help stabilize the more hyperactive students. The paper trays will help me color-code their assignments. Finally, the bookshelf will help me replace the chipped bookshelf we currently have.
