This year, my classroom will be full of readers. We are departmentalizing in 5th grade, and I will be supporting the journey that is reading to nearly 90 students. Our community is in a diverse area and home to students of varying abilities and strengths. My classroom of learners is an inclusive, supportive, risk-taking environment. It is full of boys and girls that seek to understand, ask questions, try again and again, and in all that they do, model having a Growth Mindset. In the end, we hope to impact the world around us, leaving our communities a better place.

About my class
