My students live in an impoverished community, where more than 90% of the students are on free and reduced lunch. They have come to love physical education as their outlet from all the pressure in class and at home. These students deserve to understand and be taught various types of sports and have the ability to work on being more fit, especially with the number of students that are overweight and have no other way to work out besides my class. Our students are constantly faced with various challenges and I want to provide a safe and enjoyable environment. My students are under privileged but I want to give them an opportunity to have more and be able to participate in activities with each other with enough materials and equipment.
