The kindergarten students in my classroom are vibrant and come to school eager to learn! This year I have eighteen general education students who truly love to read and listen to stories being read to them. They are all coming from different backgrounds with a wide variety of knowledge and experiences. This school is considered a Title school 1 with a 76% free and reduced lunch rate and 70% minority rate. Even with the socioeconomic challenges that these students face at home, the school grade has remained an A for the past several years due to the dedication of teachers, staff, parents, and, of course, the hard working students! The school currently houses students in grades PreK - 8th grade and has a focus on the Arts. Students are offered activities that involve an art focus such as drama, dance, music, art, and guitar. The students in my classroom beam with excitement at the opportunity to perform and be involved with showing their variety of talents.
