LRPA is an amazing school with dedicated faculty and staff. We strive to educate our students and seek to provide a rigorous curriculum. However, our resources are very limited. Majority of our students are from low income families, with little education. Some of our parents struggle with reading, so the fact that our students struggle was not surprising. Our students are bright and intelligent, but lack reading skills because of lack of exposure to literature. Many students are not on grade level reading, and are sinking further behind. We need resources. Our tests scores suffer, because we lack much needed materials.
