These materials will be used to help students reconnect with reading, create a home/school connection, give parents the opportunity to read with their kids, and put physical books in students hands. This project will allow students to choose books they are interested in and find a personal connection. This will make more book genres available to our students that they may not normally have access to in day to day class. When students are given the opportunity to choose the books they want to read they are more likely to find a love for this genre. The hope of this project is not to just have students read a book, to say they have read a book, but to find a passion for reading that will continue with them through life. We want our students to find a love for reading in their life and choose reading for pleasure instead of a forced thing they have to do.

About my class
