We are a class of bilingual 5th graders in Houston, Texas. All of our students are learning English as a second language, with varying abilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Some students were born here, the children of immigrants; others are immigrants themselves. Approximately 95% of the students qualify for free lunch.
