As a new teacher, I couldn't be more excited to be teaching in the town that I am in. I truly have been blessed to be accompanied by students whom not only are hungry in the lunchroom, but in the classroom as well. Their journey of nourishment for knowledge has enabled them to feast upon setting high academic and social standards. Furthermore, this student centered environment is surrounded by an energetic and supportive teaching staff; one of which, like our students, I hold myself to very high standards to meet their teaching/learning enthusiasm. With all these ingredients put together, this leads to academic success, but more importantly, results in essential twenty-first century skills. A heightened sense of responsibility is an essential ingredient in order to triumph over all life’s experiences and remain in control of one’s destiny. I only wish to continue helping my students in this educational journey by providing them with challenging and rigorous instructional practices.
