My school serves a large population of economically disadvantaged African-American youth; however, the potential for greatness is vast. My students soak up knowledge like a sponge. They are resilient and persevere against all odds. A culture shift is underway in which our students have begun to see the potential within themselves and strive for greatness. It is the greatest feeling when my students master a concept that they never thought they could master before. Positivity and optimism are the hallmarks of our school. "We can and we will because we must" is our motto.
