The ship is sinking in public schools. I teach 4 classes of junior high students with unbelievable problems. Some of which will stay with them their entire lives. They are from a low income area of Chicago. Most are African American but a large part are Hispanic, but all love my music program. I teach them writing and I am always looking for a way to light a fire under them. Which is why I named my music program Wild Fire.
