Time For Kids Magazine is the perfect tool for students of different age groups and reading levels to have access to current news. The magazine is clear and readable text that is filed with accurate news items which students can use to compare with other resources. Students crave text that is fun to read and that they can make personal connections with as they read. Time for Kids make it great for teachers too! We have digital versions along with the magazine that we can access via Smart boards or Recordex devices.The students can access the issues ( current and archived) through their iPads and laptops as well making media literacy truly exciting. My goal is to have students from 1st grade to 5th grade understanding the concept of current events and how to evaluate reliable information. Students will develop their reading of informational text as they become 21st century learners incorporating print and digital resources.
