My students are highly motivated the learn. They range from 6 through 12 grades. They are smart, goofy, cheerful, kind, and talkative... just to say the least. Most importantly, they are kids and like to have fun. The school has been growing rapidly... from 500 students last year to 800 this year. Discipline issues are minimal. Parental support is tremendous. As a result, students are very competitive and they earn high test scores. We (teachers) have high expectations of students. At the same time, we try to accommodate students based on their needs. Students have opportunities to be creative and pursue their interests. Students embrace the age of technology. They love to experiment with new devices, software, and projects. Sometimes students would bring in articles from magazines so that we could implement the ideas in the classroom. Sometimes the most difficult part of teaching kids is to be able to get funds for supplies. The talent and "want" is there.
