Travis is one of the oldest schools in this area. We are a Title 1 school, in which most of the students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. This school is primarily Hispanic; therefore, we have a high population of ESL, English as a Second Language students. Because many of them don't have the same experiences as other students, teachers are constantly filling in the gaps, so they don't fall further behind. One major concern is technology. Because technology is so important in today's world, our students need to use it daily to complete projects, research, and use apps. This is critical for them to be successful, now and in the future.

About my class
