I teach 6th and 7th graders in a high poverty school in Manchester, NH. Many of them walk to school and are on a free or reduced lunch program. We have over 15 languages spoken in our school. I have a variety of students with multiple needs in conjunction with high class sizes. My goal is to get them up and exercising on a daily basis. We all know how obesity is a huge epidemic in our country among our youth (and adults). They are hunger to learn, exercise, and learn new fitness activities that they can participate in on a daily basis. I am always trying to incorporate new materials and activities in my class so I can reach all students.
