Many of my 6th graders have difficult home lives. Being a Title I school many students are unable to purchase school supplies. Also, many students are 2-3 years below grade level. Our school is on a mission to create an engaging, structured learning environment that fosters a community of care while holding students to high expectations. Doing this, we hope to show that by the end of the year some of our students make 2-3 years of growth in 1 year! My class specifically consists of students who are behind, however, they are beginning to recognize that in order to succeed they are going to have to put forth extra effort.

About my class
