These books will allow me to introduce my students to some of the best stories of all time. Students will be able to follow along in their own texts while I read aloud, which will enhance their own reading fluency. They will also be able to read together and engage in lively discussions about the characters and events in each of these stories. Shared reading has the potential to expose students to books they would otherwise never read and develop crucial reading skills. Students will practice reading skills, build vocabulary, and enhance their overall comprehension. Lastly, the shared reads will bring the class together as we journey through all the emotions and experiences of the characters in various genres of literature.
