Group time is critical for all early childhood development. Not only does it promote learning in various fun ways, it also teaches students critical social skills such as communication. Children come together during group time and know that their words are important, and that helps form confidence and excitement for learning years to come. Joining in group time helps promote positive approaches to learning, and having a comfortable place to do this makes it even more enjoyable. Having a rug in the classroom gives children a comfortable place to come together to share ideas and events, as well as participate in whole class activities such as story time and group games.

About my class
